With more than 30 years of experience in healthcare, Laracuente is passionate about the use of innovative technology to facilitate the delivery of safe, quality data-informed clinical and operational decision making, to improve healthcare equity for underserved populations and to relieve the clinical workforce EHR burden.
“I’ve worked in healthcare for many years, and I’ve seen how the work we do affects the patients at the center of everything,” Laracuente said. “I bring a data perspective, informed by nursing informatics and clinical experience, to the issues of equitable and efficient patient care and the question of how we can improve health outcomes at both the population level and the individual level.”
Before joining HIMSS, Laracuente was the Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Nursing Information Officer with Medicomp Systems, leading product strategy, design and implementation methodology for nursing and multidisciplinary solutions throughout North America and internationally.
