President – Carrie MainCarrie Main is a Senior Director of Healthcare Technology and Data Services at the Ringgold County Hospital (RCH) in Mt. Ayr, Iowa. RCH is part of the MercyOne Health Network. She has over 20 years of experience in healthcare delivery as a radiology technologist, clinical analyst, PACS Administrator, project manager and health IT department director. She serves on IT Strategic Planning Committee, leads teams to develop and support Healthcare Information Technology from clinical applications, software solutions, interfacing, data communication as well as documentation and reporting procedures.
Carrie received her degrees from Mercy College of Health Sciences, is certified in Health IT, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, has level II integration achievements and a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration. Carrie is passionate about quality healthcare delivery and data exchange. She is a member of the Iowa Hospital Association Council on Health Information, engaged in ACO data gathering and analysis, leads population health and service excellence initiatives.

Past President - Tom FeldmanTom Feldman is a Senior Application Developer in Clinical Applications at University of Iowa Health Care in Iowa City, Iowa. UI Health Care is a fully integrated academic medical center that includes University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (UIHC), UI Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine and University of Iowa Physicians. Tom has over 13 years of experience in the development and support of Healthcare Information Technology; he currently leads the development of the infection control documentation and reporting and also works with blood and clinical documentation. Tom earned his Bachelors of Science Degree in Computer Science from Western Illinois University. The last three years Tom has been social media chair for Iowa HiMSS.
The UIHC has been recognized as a HIMSS Analytics Stage 7 facility of EMR Adoption in both the inpatient and ambulatory settings, a 2014 enterprise Davies Award winner and has achieved Hospitals & Health Networks' Most Wired Status annually since 2010. Secretary - Marlene HodgesMarlene Hodges is a Senior Health Information Technology Advisor with Telligen, based in West Des Moines. She has 24 years of experience in health information technology and health care quality improvement, working directly with health care providers across Iowa, the region and nationally, to guide health IT utilization and improvement to focus on meaningful measures, improve health outcomes, and enhance clinician experience in programs such as the CMS Quality Payment Program (QPP). Her work includes focus on rural and frontier providers in both the clinic and critical access hospital settings. Ms. Hodges is a HIMSS Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) as well as an NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home Certified Content Expert (PCMH CCE). She is a graduate of Drake University and resides in Urbandale, Iowa. |

Scholarship Chair - Martha McNultyI currently live in Iowa City and work for the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics as a Senior Application Developer. At the onset of my working years, I worked in health care as a Nurse Assistant and Unit Clerk in Alabama. I then moved to Alaska and worked primarily in the Oil and Gas Industry, Railroad and Engineering Companies. I have served as a Records Manager, Human Resources Generalist, Facilities Manager, Data Analyst and Records Manager. Prior to moving to Iowa, I worked for the City of Berkeley California as the City Records Manager developing Records Management programs for the various departments and oversaw their Electronic Content Management program and later for Iron Mountain as the lead for a large client project. |

Treasurer - Stephen HamiltonSteve Hamilton is a Senior Project Manager at University of Iowa Health Care in Iowa City, Iowa. UI Health Care is a fully integrated academic medical center that includes University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (UIHC), UI Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine and University of Iowa Physicians. Steve has over 15 years of experience of Information Technology, the last 13 at UIHC. He currently is focused on project management of technology and infrastructure in capital construction projects. Steve earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems from Western Illinois University, MBA from The University of Iowa, attained the PMP, and ITIL Foundation and Intermediate Certificate in Continual Service Improvement.

Prior to her tenure at ecfirst, Lorna and her husband owned and managed ExecuTrain of Central Iowa, Computer Training Franchise.
Prior to that she was a General Manager overseeing 3 states in the Long-Distance Telephone business.
Lorna has been involved with HIMSS since 2006 as a board member holding several positions in the Iowa Chapter including President and is now on the National Chapter Task Force. |

Membership Chair - Denise GrafftMs. Denise Grafft is an Assistant Director of Clinical Applications at University of Iowa Health Care in Iowa City, Iowa. UI Health Care is a fully integrated academic medical center that includes University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (UIHC), UI Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine and University of Iowa Physicians. She has 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, involved in direct patient care nursing with experience in the Ambulatory Clinic and Hospital/ICU settings. Throughout her career she has been actively involved in the implementation of EHRs, both in the role of a clinical manager and now in IT. As an Assistant Director in Clinical Applications, she capitalizes on her clinical experience to design and implement workflows across roles and specialties, with a focus on staff cohesion and patient safety in a dynamic healthcare environment. The UIHC has been recognized as a HIMSS Analytics Stage 7 facility of EMR Adoption in both the inpatient and ambulatory settings and achieved Hospitals & Health Networks' Most Wired Status annually since 2010. Denise earned a Baccalaureate of Science, Nursing from Mount Mercy University and has achieved certification in FCCS (Fundamental Critical Care Support), been an ACLS certified instructor, participated in LEAN training workshops and is actively pursuing her MBA.

Kris has over 10 years of experience in the development and support of Healthcare Information Technology, he currently leads a team of developers/analysts in support of UIHC’s OR and procedure clinical documentation. Kris earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems from University of Iowa and has achieved ITIL Foundation Certification in IT Service Management.

Web Chair – Kyle CollinsKyle has been a member of UIHC for ten years. His roles have included working as part of the clinical decision support team, managing the Epic (EMR) ophthalmology module, and for the past four years he has been a senior developer on the IT service management team. In 2003, Kyle came to Iowa City for an education and liked it so much that he decided to make it his permanent residence. In the office he is passionate about collaboration, UX, and eliminating technical debt. When he is not busy at work, he spends time with his wife and three young boys.

Social Media Chair - Derek VossbergDerek Vossberg is a Senior Account Manager with Anatomy IT, a healthcare focused IT Services Company. He works primarily with Critical Access hospitals across Iowa and Nationwide. He’s been in IT for 20 years with the last 10 being exclusively in Healthcare. Throughout his time with Anatomy IT, Derek has been a Systems Engineer, Team Lead, Hospital Director of IT and Client Relationship Manager. He has a passion for all things technology as well as having a customer service focused mindset. He currently resides in Altoona, IA and is looking forward to being a part of the Iowa HIMSS organization! |
